Mead has long been associated with revelry and romance, and was consumed on special occasions such as weddings and honeymoons. The term ‘honeymoon’ got its name—from the drinking of honey wine for a full cycle of the moon after the wedding.

Horst and Alex Bernhagen (our Apiarists and Meadmakers) combine the latest wine making techniques with historical recipes to create unique mead in a style that is like no other.

Your hosts Horst & Martha extend a warm welcome and invite you to join them in their relaxed surroundings and taste their award winning honey wines.

Our wine styles include:-

Honey Mead Wine 2003 & 2002 (Dry medium and sweet]
Traditional Honey Mead Liqueur 2002 & 2003
Fruit Liqueur: Boysenberry
