Welcome to Cowaramup Brewing Company Cowaramup Brewing Company is a family owned microbrewery situated in the world renowned Margaret River Region in the South West of Western Australia. Located in a picturesque rural setting 4km east of Bussell Highway in Cowaramup, Cowaramup Brewing Company offers quality hand crafted ales and lagers, a range of local wines with an excellent menu focusing on local produce. The brewery which opened in December 2006 currently has five beers available on tap including Cowaramup Pilsener, Hefeweizen, Special & India Pale Ales and Cowaramup Stout. The Cowaramup Pilsener was awarded the Champion Lager Trophy at the International Beer Awards in May 2011 beating those entered by Coopers, Swan, Heineken & Toohey's to name a few. The award is a great honour and recognises the excellent beers produced at the Cowaramup Brewery. The venue itself consists of the brewhouse, bar and restaurant with shaded decking and beautiful beer garden overlooking the surrounding rural area and a small dam. The brewery is family orientated with a children's playground that can easily be seen from all areas. There is also ample area for a friendly game of Footy or Cricket, Petaque or Jenga - which ever you prefer!! Nine varieties of hops are also grown on site and some of these hops are used to produce the beers.

A family-friendly environ: CBC is located on a 10 acre site with a purpose-built microbrewery, restaurant, beer garden, children's play area and hop garden. The picturesque rural setting has wide appeal with customers as animals including: cows; sheep; guinea fowl; chooks and geese (along with resident brewery cat Mollie), provide hours of entertainment for all.

Seating options are varied, visitors can choose to sit inside, on the wide decking to enjoy the view to the dam and neighbouring vineyards, or at a table on the licensed lawn area surrounded by native garden. The playground is deliberately visible from all locations so parents can relax and keep an eye on their children simultaneously. For older children the spacious paddock, outside the licensed lawn area, provides a great spot to kick the footy or, numbers permitting, a game of cricket.

. CBC also provide for people with disabilities and have baby change facilities.

Tours: The brewery is the main focus of the business, and a big drawcard. Its prominent location at the building?s entry was deliberate to promote guest education, contact and a learning experience. CBC imported a state-of-the-art 800 litre brewing system from Canada which includes a stainless steel brewhouse along with four fermenters. On arrival, visitors can see through bi-fold windows, which staff can open to encourage involvement in brewery tours. The tours emphasise the focus on high grade, quality ingredients and the implementation of the 1516 Beer Purity Law. This law states that the beer is brewed using only malted barley, or wheat, hops to add bitterness and aroma, yeast and water.

Food & dietary options: CBC treasures the unique nature of the Cowaramup community and actively support the people, and involve local businesses, where possible. So the sale of beer on site is complemented with a menu focussed on local produce. The menu features a range of pizzas, platters, dips, fish & chips, lamb cutlets, chicken satay, leek and goat's cheese tart, beef and porter pie along with spiced prawns and soup of the day. Being family-friend there are also a number of kid?s menu items to choose from. CBC provide gluten free and vegetarian options and are happy to alter menu items to suit individual dietary requirements. The menu changes seasonally however we keep some menu items on the list the entire time ? if we got rid of the Cow Special Pizza we could instigate local riots!

Functions: CBC is a popular venue and caters for weddings, work functions, birthday parties and other events. Planning permission allows CBC to conduct up to 25 functions a year, 10 of which can cater for up to 350 guests. The normal daily opening hours of 10am to 6pm can be extended until midnight to cater for these functions.

CBC offers a range of merchandise to their visitors and includes glasses and steins; 2 litre growlers (glass casks that can be filled with any of the five beers); bar runners; stubbie holders e
