Settlers Ridge is a small winery but with a philosophy to produce quality wines first and secondly, as a bonus, to produce a fully accredited Organic Wine.
In October 1999 Settlers Ridge opened Tasting Rooms in the small village of Cowaramup, welcoming organic wine converts from around the world together with those who seek a rudimentry understanding.
All those who visit our rooms are given an educational insight into the world of organic viticulture and organic wine production

The 2006 vintage showed the effect of the two mini tornadoes that swept through our property last October.Crop levels were down 30%
Then we had an unusually cool summer to top it off, making it a very hard and long vintage
The good news is that berry flavours were up due to the longer ripening period and low stress levels on the vineyard due to low crop levels and minimal fluctuations in temperature
The Sangiovese Novello 2006 has been changed to a lighter style and there are two full bodied reds in the Shiraz 2002 & Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Sauvignon Blanc 2006 and Chenin Blanc 2005 are now available

Awards
Shiraz/Cabernet 1997
A Silver Medal winner at the Perth Royal Show, our only Shiraz blended with Cabernet has softer tannins than our 100% Shiraz.

Shiraz 1998
This wine was judged the 6th Best Shiraz at the International Wine Show in Hamburg, Germany and also voted Runnerup at the Sheraton International Wine Awards

Cabernet Sauvignon 1999
The Mt Barker Show have just awarded this wine with a Silver Medal.

Shiraz 2001
Released in November 2002. This variety is the flagship wine of Settlers Ridge and has won 2 Silver Awards at the Perth Royal Show and the Australian Small Winemakers Show.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 In November 2002 this wine won a Gold Award at the Small Winemakers Show
In July 2003 it was awarded another Gold Award at the wine show in Cowra.
At the 2004 Margaret River Wine Show this wine won 2nd Best Cabernet and yet another Gold Award

Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Bronze Award at the Small Winemakers Show.
Bronze Award at the Margaret River Wine Show.
Bronze Award at the Melbourne Wine Show.

Merlot 2002
Awarded a Bronze Medal at the Margaret River Wine Show.

Bronze Medal at the Cowra Wine Show.
