Must Margaret River opened its rural doors in 2009 as the cheeky little sister of chef Russell Blaikie & Co’s Perth institution Must Winebar. It was always driven by the bountiful regional produce and inspired by local winemakers’ craft. As the Margaret River food scene has evolved so too has Must Margaret River, growing into its own skin and out of the shadow of its big sister’s French bistro roots. So Must has become Muster, just a couple of extra letters and the same committed team. Executive Chef – Russell Blaikie still loves to drop in when the surf is pumping and a paella pan can be fired up to the hungry passers by the sidewalk!
Taking the reins is Head Chef Julian Mann is making the most of local produce and his purpose built meat aging cellar. While Must is wonderful for meat lovers, the ocean and the earth are also great providers. Our local suppliers are integral to helping us maintain our standards and it’s their dedication to organic or at the least, clean and green practices that we are grateful for.
Our cocktails are to die for if you are not already immersed in our comprehensive local and international wine list. You will still see dry aged beef hanging in its meat cellar and yes the famed angel hair pasta with crab, tomato & chilli is staying on the menu! You might have noticed more communal and bar tables for spontaneous gatherings, so a lazy afternoon drink can easily roll into a plate of Charcuterie or a feast from the full menu, still perched on your bar stool!

Unique to Margaret River, Muster-UP is a private party/dining space opening to a balcony overlooking the main street of Margaret River. Why Muster-UP? Because it takes a flight of stairs from our downstairs bar to get there!
Perfect for a birthday party, small wedding, cocktail event, wine tasting, product launch... anything you wish to celebrate... the space seats up to 24 and will accommodate up to 50 for a cocktail style event.
Muster-UP has it’s own bar, can be staffed with a dedicated barman incorporates Musters smashing wine list, which combined with the food of Chef Julian Mann is realising the demand for a quality private event space in Margaret River Town.
