Relax and enjoy a picnic in the Waljin Aboriginal Gardens, located alongside the Vasse River. The gardens were designed by local Nyungar, Mitchella Thompson. 'Waljin' means rainbow girls.
This is an interpretative garden, showing the use and value of native plants used by local Aboriginal people. It is culturally significant to the community for its recognition of Nyungar heritage. Don't miss the signs describing Aboriginal movement through the South West.
