Witchcliffe

Witchcliffe is a quaint little town, full of old world charm, on the Bussell Hwy just 5 minutes south of Margaret River. The town itself has a number of unique gift stores and buildings that date back to early settlement times.

The town, like many of the other southern towns of the region, had a significant timber history. Located in East Witchcliffe was the Mill later taken over by the Adelaide Timber Company in 1930. During group settlement the township boomed, with a significant number of buildings erected and a stable and growing population, financed by the booming timber industry. A train line also existed to take passengers to Busselton.

Ten minutes west on the coast is Redgate Beach, famous for its surf and fantastic swimming. The beach itself offers some of the best surfing conditions south of Margaret River. The beauty of its isolation meaning the surf is usually all your for the taking. Nearby one will also fine a number of the region's best wineries.
