A Cultural event in the heart of Wadandi Boodja, an event promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message of keeping mentally healthy.
The Annual Act-Belong-Commit Undalup Birak Festival is a celebration of the Local Aboriginal Culture in the heart of Wadandi Boodja, Gloucester Park, Margaret River WA. A Free Family Cultural Festival with Cultural Entertainment, Cultural Dancing, Cultural Weaving workshops, Activities and stalls. There will be Earth Dance workshops with the Four directions and connection to Mother Earth, All welcome, Smoke Free event. Any one wanting to participate in Cultural dance, bring Black T-Shirt and shorts, and be prepared to be painted up.
There will be having a great variety of Market and Healthy Food Stalls from 10am, with Aboriginal Artworks and crafts, Cultural displays, Have your photo taken and put into an event key ring, grab some binoculars from the Cape to Cape bird group and take a walk to see local nearby birds, Sign the Barrabup Conversation Groups petition to protect HCV on local Forests, Mana Kai will be there with their latest range of natural juices, The Food crew from Russian Sisters, Ma La Dumplings, M/River Food van, Grillin and Chillie and Yahava Coffee will also be there to feed us all. Special Guests Doors Wide Open and Ice Breakers will be available at the event, these guys are doing some amazing work with communities in the South West to help those affected by drug addictions.
As the event is sponsored by Healthway, supporting the Act-Belong-Commit message, everyone is encouraged to bring water bottle to fill up at the water station, sunscreen and a hat, and participate in all the cultural workshops and activities. Everyone is encouraged to bring some Warm clothes for after the sun goes down.
The Undalup Association together with partner Healthway, promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message, as Being active, having a sense of belonging, and having a purpose in life all contribute to happiness and good mental health and wellbeing.
