Our Reason 2 Run in Busselton is for ‘Motor Neurone Disease’.
Event Start & Finish is at the Oval opposite the Busselton Jetty by the new Amphitheater and Pirates play ground.
06:30 – 8:00 Athlete check in and bib collection (if required)
7:30 Marathon start
8:00 Half Marathon start – 5Km/10Km start
10:00am 5km and 10km presentations
1:30 – race cut off/close
1:30 – Awards
This event is open to all ages over 5 years
Minimum age for 10Km is 12 years
Minimum age for 21Km is 16 years
Minimum age for 42Km is 18 years
5Km – 1 lap of 5km course
10Km – 1 lap of 10Km course
21.1Km – 2 laps of Half Marathon course
42.2Km – 4 laps of Marathon course
Numbered bibs, incorporating an embedded timing chip, will be provided. These will be mailed out approximately 10 days prior to race day to ensure delivery by Australia Post. Those entering after this time will need to collect their race bib on the morning of the event prior to race start.
Aid stations will be provided approximately every 3km and will have Water and Tailwind available.
Toilets are located at the start/finish area, Sea Rescue building & Freycinet Toilet block.
RUNNING WITH HEADSETS/PRAMS
Headsets or headphones are permitted but we ask that you are vigilant and aware of others around you. We also ask that runners are mindful that they are under the direction of marshals. The course is multi lap and the lead runners may pass you at some stage. Showing common courtesy to other runners is the order of the day. You must also be aware of any lead or emergency vehicles on the course. Running with prams is not permitted.
Plenty of parking is available in and around the foreshore car parks near the event start location.
Finishers medal for everyone & place getter prizes across all distances for;
1st/2nd/3rd fastest male/female & 1st male/female of each of the following age categories:
Winners of 1/2/3RD ‘Fastest Male/Female’ are not eligible for age category prizes (attendance required).
