DF95 Model Sailing Yacht Regatta

Come and see some spectacular sailing where you’d least expect it.

This is a sailing regatta showcasing radio-controlled model sailing yachts on the lake at Bettenay’s. The boats are about 1 metre long, propelled solely by the wind, with rudder and sail settings guided from the shore by remote control handsets. More than 10,000 of these yachts are raced competitively worldwide, with several WA clubs racing on a regular basis.

Racing will start at 10am each day, finishing about 3.30pm with a break between 12.30 and 1.30pm. There will be 20 boats competing in lots of short races throughout the day. This will provide great spectating whilst enjoying the wonderful food and wines at Bettenay’s.
