Launch: Bush Trails Exhibition
Description
Dea Haddow and Eleanor Davies both share a fascination with their natural environment; inviting the viewer to join them on an abstract tour of the place they live.
Both artists share an appreciation of the unique beauty of the South West and the stories that this place evokes.
Deanne Haddow
Deanne Haddow produces paintings and drawings in acrylic, oils, watercolour, inks and gouache representing her observations and experiences of being immersed in the organised chaos of nature. Eight solo exhibitions and several art awards have accumulated during this time; the most recent awards being the Cossack Open Theme award in July this year and first prize at the MRRWF Visual Stories in 2016, and again in 2017.
Eleanor Davies
In my first 25 years of working life I was worked with physical theatre and circus. More recently I have become immersed in visual arts, specifically mono printmaking. I draw from the similarities of my live performance experience and the process of making a monoprint. They are both a one-off experience, once a performance goes to the stage and the print to press it is captured in that moment. Eleanor has a Diploma in Visual Arts 2022 and has participated in a number of group exhibitions since. Including a highly commended, Cossack Art Prize 2024, Fremantle Print Award, 2023 and winner of Visual Stories 2021.
