Over 60s Cinema – Bellbird (M) at HEART Margaret River
10 August 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm$8
In order to keep as much of our community as possible safely involved in the Arts, every Monday until further notice from 10am – 12pm noon, the HEART is only open to those aged over 60. If you are under 60, please come back after 12pm or choose another time for your visit. Thank you for helping to keep our community safe!
To make sure nobody misses out on the fun, the Margaret River HEART has programmed some special events around these Over 60’s Mornings. The morning of August 10th will feature an Over 60s Cinema screening of the movie ‘Bellbird’ (M) from 10:30am-12pm, with doors opening at 10am. Tickets are $8 each, but make sure to bring a gold coin for tea/coffee and biscuits!
Ross (Marshall Napier) has farmed the land all his life, just as his father and grandfather did before him. A largely silent man, Ross farms the land alongside his far more exuberant wife Beth (Annie Whittle), who is an eager participant in the local choir and a friend to many.
When Beth suddenly dies, Ross is crushed but incapable of displaying his emotions. His son Bruce (Cohen Holloway) moves back in and tries to help, but is not suited to the farming life and also has great difficulties in expressing himself. Around them, their friends realise the difficulties, and pitch in to help.
Other dates and details so far include:
August 3rd – Free musical performance by the Margaret River Ukulele Group and other assorted musicians, bring a gold coin for tea/coffee and biscuits!
August 17th – $8 Over 60s Cinema showing The Personal History of David Copperfield (PG) from 10:30am-1:10pm
We will be adding more dates and activities for these Over 60s Mornings as we go, so to stay up to date make sure to check back here or on the HEART website at www.margaretriverheart.com.au where you can subscribe to the HEART’s newsletter.
