Primordial Disclosures XIV

As part of CinefestOZ, Primordial Disclosures XIV, 2024 presents selected works from digital media artist and academic Danny Jennings, PhD.

Danny’s work explores the notion that the natural world is elusive, ephemeral, and mysteriously self-transcending, that is, nature ‘in itself’ always seems to escape our limited human perceptions and isolated representations. The work includes computer generated animation and digital video footage captured by the artist during solitary walks within wilderness areas of the Noongar-Boodja region of south-west Western Australia, Te Wahipounamu in Aotearoa/New Zealand and Yakushima Island in Japan.
