School holiday session: All about the ocean
Description
Let the kids immerse themselves in an ocean-themed art session these school holidays.
A range of art stations will be set up at Gathered Organics for kids to try their hand at including:
- Hand sew felt sea creatures
- Make shimmering clay seashells and urchins
- Create an octopus from yarn and beads
- Learn how to make bright fish and sharks from cardboard rolls
- Paint watercolour mermaids and ocean scenes.
An experienced facilitator will be on hand to guide kids through the activities.
Suitable for ages seven and up. The felt sewing station will be available to children aged eight and up as needles are involved, however there will be plenty of options for all ages to choose from and enjoy. The sessions are offered as drop and leave, although parents and carers are welcome to stay.
The farm shop and cafe will be open during the sessions and younger siblings can play outside at the free play stations which include soft play blocks, a sand pit with trucks and water play tables.
Gathered is an inclusive space where neurodiverse people and people of all abilities are welcome. They are happy to accommodate sensory needs and accessibility requirements as much as they are able.
