Two thread

‘two thread’ is a contemporary dance performance co-choreographed and performed by Danni and Karlia Cook.

The work zooms in on the coexistence and kinship of their sisterhood, offering a glimpse into their deepest reflections, contemplations, and negotiations as kin. Throughout the weaving of this dance performance they meet themselves through each other, honouring the collision of lineages that exist within and around their bodies.

This work is a meditative practice of deep listening and deep observation as Karlia and Danni journey together through processes of reclaiming, recovering and honouring the ever-evolving relationality between their bodies, ancestry and the lands and waters that they come from, grew up on and travel between.
