9 July 2019 - 13 July 2019Free
The Undalup Association would like to celebrate this years NAIDOC week with new engaging Cultural workshops for everyone to enjoy. This year the Undalup Association invites everyone to walk with us all, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a movement of the Australian people for a better future.
Under the theme – Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future – NAIDOC Week 2019 will be held nationally for a weeklong celebration of Culture. The Respect Yourself Respect Your Culture Undalup NAIDOC week festival 2019 will be held from Tuesday 9th till Saturday 13th July with a week of Cultural workshops and activities, bringing many people together in harmony. NAIDOC week stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Its origins can be traced to the emergence of Aboriginal groups in the 1920′s which sought to increase awareness in the wider community of the status and treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
