Description

Iszaac was born in Undalup (Busselton) and grew up on Wadandi Boodja listening to his Great Grandmother, Grandparents & his Father Dr Wayne ”Wonitji” Webb. He remembers sitting with the old people listening to stories of Boodja (Country) that have been passed down throughout the generations and passionately continues his commitment & carries on his family’s cultural obligations to the Yungunjarli(People) and the Boodjara (Country).

Zac has spent 7 years working in the field of NRM (Natural Resource Management) on an array of projects through the Southwest and Great Southern regions to protect cultural heritage, land and the kinship that is the birth right that all Aboriginal people hold to Boodja (Country) and all its creations.

He currently works collectively with Elders and Custodians to promote Wadandi Bibulmun Culture throughout the region, to give the wider community a better understanding of Cultural Protocols, their Connection and Responsibilities to the Boodja (Country) that we all share together.

Zac is a fantastic presenter who will give you a brilliant insight into the culture of this region’s first peoples and their connection to country.

You’ll hear his stories and knowledge as well as the connection that Origins Market has to the Indigenous people and Wonnerup Wetlands situated behind the market.

Morning tea provided by market stall holders- Silas Espresso and Dusty Buns.

While we all call this place home, we must always remember to show respect to the Spirits of the Land and Sea and of Elders Past and Present who have maintained this cultural landscape since the Land was soft, so we can Listen, Respect and Enjoy all Wirrunga-be-Gnangkaa Boodjara (Beautiful Grandmother Country) with all she has to offer.
