Yarri Restaurant + Bar have launched their Yarri & Friends series, beginning with an exclusive dining event on Friday 18 July, hosted in collaboration with celebrated Tasmanian chef Tim Hardy and Margaret River’s Mr Barval Fine Wines.

The evening will feature a five-course menu designed and led by Tim—former executive chef and co-founder of the acclaimed Van Bone restaurant in regional Tasmania.

Known for his fire-led, seasonal cooking and commitment to working with nature rather than against it, Tim Hardy will bring a quietly bold approach to the Yarri kitchen, showcasing produce from the restaurant’s on-site organic garden and the surrounding Southwest region.

Each dish will be paired with wines from Mr Barval, the boutique label of Rob and Kellie Gherardi. Known for their elegant, minimal-intervention wines rooted in old-world tradition, Mr Barval’s hand-harvested and wild-fermented selections will match the menu course by course.

This intimate event will host just limited guests, offering a unique opportunity to experience the coming together of three distinct philosophies—garden-led food, fire and technique, and expressive, site-driven wine.
