Description
Ray Jones is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter from Myalup, Western Australia.
He is the 2024 WA Male Country Music Artist of the Year and currently an elite finalist for the WAM Country Song of the Year with Codee Lee. He was a finalist for Independent Album of the Year in the WA Country Music Awards 2022. In 2023 he was awarded Male Artist of the Year. Ray recently released new music that made #9 on the AMRAP charts 2022 and Rhythms Magazines top 30 songs of 2022. His debut album Sleeping Rough was #12 on the Academy of World Artist Rankings in the US.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia every Monday morning from 10am – 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
