Day 1: Perth / Fremantle

Approximate driving distance from Airport to Fremantle: 28km

On arrival into Perth international airport, meet your tour guide and luxury vehicle or pick up your rental car and transfer to your Perth or Fremantle hotel. Things you may like to do or places to visit include:

  • Kings Park, offering panoramic views of the city and Swan River
  • The Perth Mint, an interesting place to visit and to buy gold or coins
  • The harbour town of Fremantle is about a 30 minute drive from Perth and is a popular place to wander around, in particular to enjoy a coffee on the Cappuccino Strip, visit the “Freo” Markets, or enjoy fish and chips at Cicerellos overlooking the harbour
  • Crown Casino, offering 24-hour entertainment, fine dining, restaurants and bars
  • Overnight at your Perth city or Fremantle hotel

Day 2: Perth – Blackwood Valley – Pemberton

Approximate driving distance: 325km

Today we head south along a very scenic route and into the forest and “food bowl” of Western Australia. Highlights today include:

  • Scenic drive through the beautiful Ferguson Valley and visit to Gnomesville.
  • Stop and pick apples and other fruit in Donneybrook (seasonal)
  • Enjoy a delicious truffle and wine lunch in Manjimup (truffle hunt optional)
  • Visit the towering Gloucester Tree in Pemberton
  • Go trout fishing, bushwalking, or watch the kangaroos and emus
  • Overnight Karri Valley Resort, Pemberton with dinner

Day 3: Pemberton – Nannup – Augusta – Margaret River

Approximate driving distance: 205km

Highlights today include:

  • Drive to the picturesque little town of Nannup for morning tea.
  • Meet the makers and taste local produce such as cheese, nuts, and fresh fruit.
  • Visit Augusta and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the South West corner of Australia where two oceans meet. If lucky you may also see a whale.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at Leeuwin Estate winery
  • Visit local makers such as chocolate, olive oil, nougat, and chorizo
  • Overnight at your Margaret River Region hotel, with dinner

Day 4: Margaret River Region

Highlights today include:

  • Join an exciting Aboriginal cultural tour and listen to a didgeridoo
  • Explore the underground caverns of Ngilgi Cave
  • Take a behind the scenes tour of Vasse Felix winery and a private wine tasting
  • Enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch with fresh marron at Vasse Felix
  • Visit the spectacular Canal Rocks and stunning coastal views
  • Explore some local art galleries and jewellery makers
  • Overnight at your Margaret River Region hotel, with dinner

Day 5: Margaret River – Busselton – Perth

Approximate driving distance: 271km

After breakfast it is time to depart back to Perth but there is more to see, including:

  • Walk along the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, the Busselton Jetty, with optional visit to the underwater observatory to see the amazing marine life
  • Visit Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Tour and watch the dolphin feeding
  • On the way back to Perth you may like to stop and buy crabs from the Dawesville crab man and stop in Mandurah for picnic lunch
  • The tour finishes with drop off late afternoon in Perth or at the airport
