Start at Ellensbrook Homestead, a fascinating National Trust property which was home to settlers Alfred and Ellen Bussell. Learn how the Wardandi people welcomed them to this sheltered site.

Then head to Augusta via the Boranup Karri Forest, stopping at Hamelin Bay to see the remains of the old jetty.

Visit the Augusta Historical Museum, packed with intriguing artefacts, then soak up some maritime history at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and the Old Waterwheel.

Head back to Margaret River to check out some live music, a movie in a vineyard or a performance at the local Cultural Centre. Search our events calendar to see what’s on.
