Margaret River Hotel offers unique old-style country pub accommodation. The grand old lady of Margaret River offers character and charm in the centre of town and has been entertaining guests since 1936. Meet the locals in the Corner Bar and experience great hospitality in a locally owned hotel.
After check-in, stretch the legs with a walk down the main street, enjoying town’s independent bookstores, galleries or boutiques.
Motel King rooms are located in the quieter motel section of the property at the rear of the hotel and are equipped with reverse cycle air-conditioning, TV, Foxtel, bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery, iron, towels, linen, free WiFi, complimentary tea/coffee and private en-suite.
Day 2 - Friday 15 November
For the food & wine lovers, this is your best day to get out and experience some of the region’s cellar doors, breweries, winery restaurants and providores. Some venues offer incredible behind the scenes tours or guided tastings before you sit down to a long lunch.
For the nature-buffs, we suggest a road trip down to the very south-west corner of mainland Australia and the seaside town of Augusta. Climb a lighthouse, take a river cruise along the Blackwood or check out the resident stingrays at Hamelin Bay with a chance to enjoy a swim in its sheltered bay.
In the evening, enjoy dinner back in town. Margaret River offers options to cater to all tastes and atmosphere. Select from pub or brewery fare with amazing craft beer and wine lists, bistro-style wine bars, modern Australian, Japanese, Italian and more.
Day 3: Saturday 16 November
Saturday morning is your opportunity to check out the famous Margaret River Farmer’s Market – awarded the 2018 Delicious Award’s most outstanding in Australia.
This is your chance to taste and buy fresh, seasonal, local produce, from farmers and producers direct to the community. Pick up a coffee and graze for breakfast as you go.
Spend the afternoon exploring some of the region’s ancient limestone formations at Lake or Mammoth Cave (just 20min from town). Go gathering for yummy things at the many nearby cellar doors and providores.
The more adventurous may like to hone their skills on some of the local mountain bikes trails or jump on wine tour by bike. Horse riding, fat biking or quad biking in the Boranup Forest is also an option.

This year’s guest chefs are all about relaxed, delicious eating. This evening, the crew from Perth’s Tiny’s Restaurant bring their direct, playing-with-fire style down south.
Good drinks and music are essential to any party, so wine aficionado Nick Stock has been enlisted to fill the wine list with his favourite new-wave WA wines while local DJs oversee the tunes.
