The compound is nice and clean and peaceful and quiet. Each cottage is a comfortable distance from one another. We were lucky to have one that has a nice view of the pond. There are kangaroos that roam and wander into the compound so that was cool too. The distance into the town is not bad. It would have been a perfect experience but for the check-process. There is no staff on site and we were not given the door lock combination in our booking confirmation to be able enter the cottage. There was a slight panic for about 30 minutes as we tried to call the operator (the call was not picked up when we called and we had to call a few times before finally getting through) to ask how to check-in. As such, I am only giving 4 stars out of 5 stars for service.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Acacia Chalet 4. Beautiful bush land surroundings. Large home. We didn’t notice anyone else at property even though there are another 3 chalets. Very quiet. Close to Margret River & wineries. Nice to have a fireplace, although on the flip side of that, they advertise wood supplied in there welcome booklet, none was there & we had to purchase our own. Needs a up date in certain areas especially the bathrooms, mould in shower area needs a good scrub & bleach. Would also be a nice to have some nice body wash supplied. No shelf inside shower to put shampoos or wash on. Bath towels very old & scratchy almost thread bare. Shower in bathroom at end of hall didn’t work properly & makes loud noises when turned up. We had a problem with our front door key & couldn’t lock the door one day. Advised management, followed there instruction, yet nothing was fixed. No locality or winery maps supplied. We arrived at night & no signage for chalet 4 & no lighting to find our way to door. Only minor things that need attending to & care. The extra touches would make the difference. Don’t let this deter you as it is a nice spacious home, good kitchen, comfortable large lounge,in a beautiful setting & nice outdoor furniture to relax in morning with breakfast or afternoon with your Margaret River wine purchase of the day.

We stayed in chalet 5 for 2 nights and would have happily stayed longer. Quiet property not too far from town and our chalet was beautiful inside. Highlight - the kitchen included an awesome bean coffee machine, and a few other little extras Other feedback - it would be great to add a sign for chalet 4&5 near the existing 1-3 sign (we arrived at night due to flight delays, and it was not as clear in the dark), and a mirror on the cupboard in the bedroom would be a nice addition.

Lovely location! So close to town and the beach. And absolutely loved the peaceful dam, such a nice spot for a little evening walk
