As the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is a must-see attraction. This historic lighthouse is situated at the most south-westerly point of Australia, at the tip of a spectacular peninsula - where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet.
Take a trip through maritime history and learn how this famous landmark was constructed from local limestone in 1895, and is still a vital working lighthouse for vessels navigating the treacherous cape.
It's also one of the best land-based vantage points for spotting whales from May - September!
The Interpretive Centre, housed within one of the original lighthouses keepers' cottages, is an outstanding interactive experience that celebrates the history and lives of the numerous lighthouse keepers who were custodians of this rugged coastline.

An interesting historical site located where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. It costs to enter the area, but you can visit the small museum and take a tour of the lighthouse. A beautiful spot, but be prepared for high winds most days.

A piece of history is worth the trip to see. The story of all the light keepers and the cottages built there is very interesting. Beautiful coastal views. It is best to get there early for a carport, though.

An historical site that will make you forget the stress. You turn any side , you see the nature's beauty. It was nice to see the video about the lighthouse presented in the Museum. Toddlers are not allowed into the Lighthouse.
