Built in 1976 by Diana and Kevin Cullen, the founders of the Cullen Wines, the Homestead is constructed from local granite rock and timber with sweeping panoramic views over the striking Margaret River countryside and local vineyards. Just a short walk across to the Cullen vineyard and winery to taste the wines, then you may want to stay for lunch to enjoy the delicious food made from organic and biodynamic produce in the Cullen Restaurant.
The Homestead is a self-catering holiday house made up of the main house and a studio. Eggs, bread, milk and butter are provided on arrival. The main house can be booked alone if the extra bedrooms and bathroom of the studio are not required. It is very conveniently located just a short walk from Cullen Wines, and 15 minutes by road from the beach at Gracetown, 20 minutes from Margaret River and 30 minutes from Dunsborough
Always enjoyed the wines and place. Had lunch too. Excellent wines.. enjoyed the Mosh SB. Had the Octopus starter changed as the soy sauce a little too over powering but superb later w bread. The lamb and fish was super. Latter moist and delicious.. 👏👏👏 YC Boey
Set menu lunch was delicious and the wines are 👌 Matthew Mason
Excellent set menu - the Wagyu beef in particular was delicious. Great wines and wonderful service. Sandra J
George at cellar door is terrific. The growing and wine making speak for themselves. Fox Fotos
The food here was yummy but a bit difficult if you have dietary restrictions. My partner and I are veggo and the options we had we’re not much cheaper than the meat options, definitely not as filling either. Tastey food but not as tastey as you’d expect for that price point. I was a bit underwhelmed. The wines were exxy too, but pretty good. My partner and I felt a bit judged by some of the wait staff - not sure if we were under dressed or if it was clear we on a budget and this changed their attitudes towards us? We were just not getting eye contact and when we asked questions about the menu, we got really vague unhelpful answers - very different to how we saw them treat other people there... Most of the other staff were great though. Beautiful location and ambience. You need a car to get here. Rebecca Bollen
