COVID-19 Update for Fishbone Wines

We are really excited to reopen our restaurant dining room again and welcome back all our lovely customers but we have made a decision to postpone the reopening of the restaurant for now. We have made this decision to allow our team to review the ever-changing requirements and more excitingly, prior to last weeks announcement we had moved forward plans to plant an additional 2.5 hectares of vineyard in the paddock adjacent to the restaurant. This is due to start next week and will take 4-5 weeks to be completed. During this time it will be quite noisy and dusty, which isn’t the environment we would like to welcome guests back to after waiting so long to visit us, for these reasons our dining room reopening will not be until the 18th of June. It is our hope that by this time we will also be able to welcome more guests to the restaurant and conduct wine tasting again in the cellar door. So until this time we will continue with business as we have been for the past two months, offering takeaway food and wine, plus our sushi platters will remain a permanent fixture of our takeaway options - remember to order your platter a day ahead! Thanks again for all your support, understanding and patience. We’re looking forward to seeing you all back for a Fishbone fix soon. Our diary will be available for bookings for our June reopening as of Sunday in line with phase 2 restrictions.

It was our first time at Fishbone Wines and we had a great experience. We ordered the sashimi, double salmon sushi, soba noodles, miso soup, dragon sushi roll and panko prawns. All the food was delicious, the staff were helpful and the wine was great. The waitress brought over extra pickled ginger that our toddler was chomping through like no tomorrow. My only suggestion would be to have non disposable chopsticks. We look forward to our next visit.

The food and staff are consistently amazing. The price is unbeatable in this region. Great wine too!

Not the authentic kinda sushi but not bad for a try, a little pricey for the quality of ingredients. Also surely nothing artisanal here
