Sitting beside the tranquil Wilyabrup Brook, the Juniper cellar door is surrounded by cottage gardens and green lawns. The staff are warm and engaging and can discuss their wines with you at whatever level that you are comfortable with.

Juniper's Museum room offers carefully cellared wines going back to the turn of the century, which are available for purchase by the bottle or by the glass to be enjoyed in an armchair by the wood-burning fire in the cooler months, or out at one of the picnic tables on the lawns under the shade of the trees when it’s warm.

Juniper is one of the original Margaret River vineyards nestled in the picturesque Wilyabrup valley. It's neighbours are Vasse Felix and Cullen to the north and Howard Park to the south-east. The vineyard was planted in 1973 when it was known as Wright's, and was one of the pioneering Margaret River wine producers, along with Vasse Felix, Cape Mentelle, Cullen, Moss Wood and Woodlands, and is dry-grown (unirrigated) to this day.

The present vineyard block was created through subdivision by the well-known Western Australian artist family, the Junipers, after whom it is now named. It’s pretty much a hands-on operation – the vines are hand-pruned and hand-picked, and the wine hand-made.  Juniper was established by the late Roger Hill and his wife Gillian Anderson with the intention of producing wines that rank among the best to come from Wilyabrup and beyond.

Wonderful wines with equally wonderful staff! We had Rob go through the wines, great chats and all round great vibes. We come down at least one a year and always a good experience. Highly recommend a visit! Georgia Liversage
The best small cellar door experience in the south west, with some of the best tasting wines on offer. On select weekends, the team at Juniper deliver a wonderfully wholesome pizza picnic setup that goes beautifully with any of their award winning white or red wines! Elite stuff Patrick Donovan

I had been lucky to be the sole client for a good 15-20 minutes and took the time to enjoy the good wine and chats. I had a preference for the Chardonnay and the Aquitaines (available in red and white). Rudy Moury
