Margaret River Region Caves and Lighthouses

Caves

Overview

Discover an ancient underground wonderland, or climb to the top of a lighthouse for breathtaking ocean views.
The Margaret River Region is as spectacular underneath the ground as it is on top, with two magnificent working lighthouses guarding both the capes along our coast, and over 100 highly decorated limestone caves beneath the surface of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.
Both lighthouses, and four of these incredible caves are open for public tours, 364 days a year.

More information

The Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) operates six iconic tourist attractions within the pristine Margaret River Region. The historical working lighthouses of Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste are open daily, and offer tours of the lighthouse towers and the grounds. Also open daily are the spectacular show caves of the region, with Ngilgi, Mammoth, Lake and Jewel Caves spread throughout the region; from Yallingup to Augusta. You can take a fully guided tour of Lake and Jewel Caves, a semi-guided tour of Ngilgi Cave or a self-guided audio tour of Mammoth Cave. Closed Christmas Day.

We have visited this place several times. We have used it to book place to stay. Also a wine tour which was great. Every time the service is good but I feel a reluctance of staff to commit to what they are recommending. Other wise they know the product and are very helpful. The place is clean very full of things to buy. Lighting could be better.

If you're looking for tours - wine, whales, beaches etc then come here first. Knew all the details about all of them and were helpful in finding ones with discounts.

The margret visitor centre is one of the best places to go for gifts or knowledge. They are able to let you know what are the best things to do and they are always happy to get the right gift for someone. They are always friendly and polite. Would recommend!
