After starting Western Australia's first commercial deer farm the Morrison family formed Western Game Pty Ltd in 1985.

When they moved to Margaret River in 1990, Margaret River Venison was formed as a subsidiary of Western Game Pty Ltd.

Margaret River Venison now supplies venison throughout Australia and is currently developing other markets both locally and overseas.

Farmed venison is low in fat, cholesterol and kilojoules but high in iron and protein. Hormones and growth promotants are not used by Western Game and the high standard of hygiene and processing conditions maintain strict adherence to Australian regulations.

Margaret River Venison is a Quality Assured product, the entire processing procedure from the animal selection in the paddock, through to the slaughter, packing, sales and deliveries is overseen by at least one family member. They have the assistance of two qualified chefs which gives them a good understanding of the requirements of a commercial kitchen.

All of their venison is vacuum packed to ensure better storage and long shelf life.
