We had a great experience coming for dinner during the Easter holiday long weekend. The staff were all super helpful and friendly, the cocktails were all super tasty and some really unique, and the food was the best we had while in town.
Definitely try the banh mi burger, it was a solid 10!

Such a unique restaurant! Has lots of interesting selection of food, every dish has a unique flavour. Everything was delicious, not too greasy or heavy and an overall balanced feeling meal. Had the pork terrine and market cheese small plates which went fantastic together, they were paired with lots of interesting sides. The market fish was so fresh and well cooked, and it was paired with black barley which I've never tried before, which was surprisingly good. Had the pulled pork pizza that has a super thin crust. Every dish was so special

The place itself is nice, but of course, if you're outside, you're gonna get flies around you (as usual).
I ordered fish and chips as a big plate, but the amount of fish wasn't that much. I've seen places with the same plate, same price, but the double of fish. That's ok tho, the food was tasty.
The chicken as a small plate wasn't that small and a bit spicy, but really good.
Nice place to chill near the beach.

I am a local, love the vibe at Tonic by the Bay. Service staff were great last night but our porterhouse steak was rubbish. No disrespect to the chef as it was cooked perfectly but the product was budget steak, it was grisly and chewy. We offered a piece to our dining companion and he ended up having to spit it into a serviette as he was elderly and could not chew it down enough to swallow. Paid good dollars, want the real deal. I walked away and said to my husband that I would never order that steak again and he agreed. We will come back, but not for steak.
