Old Dairy Cottage

Travelling south along Bussell Highway and just after entering Margaret River township, turn right into Tunbridge Street and proceed 600 metres. After passing Mann Street, almost immediately on your right, turn into Old Dairy Cottage. A parking bay is located outside the front door.

Located just 600 metres west of the heart of Margaret River, Old Dairy Cottage provides attractive and comfortable accommodation for 1 or 2 guests. Located on land that was once part of a pioneering dairy farm, the single bedroom residence offers contemporary styling and ample (indoor and outdoor) living space. The lovely native gardens bring in the birdlife, while the fruit trees will (in time) be there to be plundered.
A surprising layout, with quirky angles and an uplifting roofline which creates a feeling of light and space.

The open plan living room incorporates a well laid out kitchen with an adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans; as well as a dining suite for 4, comfortable seating and a Smart TV. Reverse cycle air-conditioning takes care of cooling and heating, and with ceiling fans and a potbelly wood stove for those who prefer to live the country lifestyle.

There’s a functional laundry with Miele washer & dryer; as well as a walk-in robe off the spacious bedroom.  The compact bathroom has underfloor heating, a shower stall, hairdryer and quality accessories.

With no subtlety whatsoever, a selection of milk churns, pails and other bric-a-brac adorn the cottage and gardens of the property, which was once part of a dairy. Wi-Fi is available, without charge. The bi-fold doors open out onto a spacious deck which has seating for 4 alongside a gas-fired BBQ.

Please note that Old Dairy Cottage is an adults only retreat and that the owners do not permit children, or pets, to stay.

What a beautiful little house, we are here for three nights. So pleased they had electric blankets as its really cold here. Spotless in everyway.

Very nice place. But..... barbeque filthy, about a 30 minute burn off to get it clean from all the old food and very old sticky grease. The other draw back by a very busy road. Your holiday lay in during the week will be shattered from about 0400 onwards. If you are an early riser then no problem.

Well set up cottage with all amenities needed. Also only a 10 minute walk from the Margaret river town centre.
