I visit the Ship quite often. Over quite a few years I have had food from terrible to very good . The most recent 7 Nov at the quiz night ordered Garlic prawns . Not bad Garlic bread with cheese and bacon. Looked nice and could have tasted nice if it was hot grated cheese was cold , not melted apart from a little bit on top. Bread was cold . No love or quality control from the kitchen staff!! Crispy chicken wings. Deep fried to the point of dry and the outside colour closer to dark brown than golden. Terrible. Should never had left the kitchen! Pepperoni pizza. Had to get a microscope out on my Mobil to find the pepperoni and even then it was hard as it was spread far and wide in very very small pieces! Very average and disappointing The good old fried chip. Only item that was ok Basically I paid $99 for some very average food that should have never been served! Do I like the Ship . Yes. will I still go there for a drink , yes . will I eat there or tell others to NO. Quality is to hit and miss Another issue is that there never appears to be enough bar staff for good service when busy

Went to the Ship Inn for lunch with friends. Ordered our meals had a drink as took a seat. We were then approached by staff member who advised that as they were short staffed, a reduced menu was been used so we could not get steaks that head been ordered. The Manager then came over to say that they would do our steaks as they were ordered prior to staff shortages been known. Manager and all staff were awesome. So very helpful and kept us informed. Food was great but service sublime. Will make this our local pub as you won’t get better service or food anywhere else Well done to new Manager

Having a quiet beer with my brother and nephew when the manageress came over and asked if we'd like to share a seafood platter. At first we declined but when she said it was for free we said yes please It was absolutely delicious and we would recommend it to everyone. Bob Logan

Lovely experience, staff are very welcoming and lovely. Food was super yummy and perfect sizes! Had my baby with me and staff were so lovely making me feel less anxious about having a baby out for food. Special shout-out to Steph, thank you for making the experience amazing!
