Small, certified organic vineyard and tasting room producing cool climate wines and vermouth.
Oranje Tractor Wine is a small 8-acre vineyard on the pristine south coast of Albany that was planted on the family farm in 1998 with the help of family and friends and has been certified organic since 2005.

Regenerative farming techniques are used to avoid the use of synthetic chemicals, instead relying on natural systems that drive carbon from the atmosphere into the soil. This increases soil biodiversity, fertility, water retention and produces nutrient-rich crops. It also lowers their carbon footprint enormously.

A combination of mild summers - which allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop intense flavours, hand-picking and meticulous winemaking by Rob Diletti (2014 Australian Wine Maker of the Year), has culminated in a five-star rating by James Halliday and numerous awards.

You can enjoy a variety of tasting experiences in their rustic tasting room. Wine Flights showcase five Oranje Tractor wines paired with local cheeses and other fresh, seasonal produce. The Trilogy is a seated tasting of three wines.
The Silver Service Wine Flight celebrates local seafood paired with Oranje Tractor wines with their finest linen, silverware and vintage wine glasses.

All tastings are seated, and you will be guided by owners Pam and Murray and hear about the transformation of a beef cattle farm to a diverse organic farm with edible gardens and orchards sprawling in all directions.

You are welcome to BYO dog and picnic.

Not only are the wines delicious (check out the Pinot blushed Rosé) but the vineyard is now net carbon negative and organic. Winning on every front. Don't miss it if you are down Albany way. Pam and Murray will look after you.

We paid this place a visit because it was ranked no 1 on TripAdvisor. Make sure you call ahead and make a booking because it's a small scale operation and you may end up disappointed if you just rock up expecting a table. We're not drinkers so can't comment on the wine. The paleo plate was nice enough.

Murray is an awesome guy who's very knowledgeable about growing fruit trees and Wines. Pat, his better half is the brains behind the operation. (Just kidding Murray). Thanks for the great lunch and afternoon. Hope you get your Airbnb or b&b going.

We were very fortunate to be able to film our TV show - Taste of Australia on location at Oranje Tractor - such an amazing set up with the most incredible hosts Murray, Pam and of course Merlot the dog! Thank you for letting us use your pizza oven, explore the garden and of course drink some wine!
