Having taken over the well-established Green Valley Vineyard in 2022, Kate & Rhys have worked to rebrand as a fun little boutique cellar door offering private tastings of their single vineyard, handpicked wines that are made locally with love!
Currently pouring their award-winning Rose, light fruity Shiraz and exceptional Cab Sav, along with nibbles and chats with the owners, this little cellar door is a gem of an experience if you like to support the emerging new kids on the block!
Plans to add a nano-brewery for 2025 (approvals pending)!
Green Valley Vineyard was established in the 80s by Ed & Eleanor Green and developed a reputation for exceptional wine! When Kate & Rhys took over in 2022, their main plans were for a brewery, however, they have discovered joys in viticulture and with their team of experts have nurtured the vines to make some exceptional wines!
Their first ever vintage produced a GOLD MEDAL winning Rose in the Marg's show so they were off to a great start, and they believe the Shiraz from that pick is going to do well too as its drinking like a joyous little fruit bomb in liquid form!
They aim to offer private tastings so you can really get to know them, their story and wines! They think back to what they loved when visiting Marg's before they moved down and want folks who come see them to have that engaging and informative, fun experience too!
Offering nibbles and tastings, farm tours and even starting to throw some parties planned for late 2024, with hopefully the nano brewery approved for 2025 there are exciting things ahead for this small vineyard south of town!
Don't be shy about booking in to come and see them, they love meeting new people and sharing their wares with you! They are an inclusive, engaging, down to earth and fun cellar door!

This is a beautiful gem of a winery located in the stunning surroundings of Margaret River. So far I have tasted the Rosé, the Cab Sav and the Shiraz. All very enjoyable. The Shiraz I enjoyed in the comfort of home surrounded by friends, it was enjoyed perfectly as suggested by the bubbly host Kate, on a warm evening with a cheese board. Kate and Rhys (and of course Benny) make for very warm and welcoming hosts, the cellar door is really a very fun and relaxed experience. I will be making it a regular event on my visits to Margs.

I had the pleasure of visiting "The Valley" recently, and I must say, their rose wine is absolutely superb. It's no surprise that it's received numerous well-deserved awards. What's even more impressive is the transformation that's taken place under the new owners, Kate and Rhys. They've done a fantastic job of revamping the winery, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Valley is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts, and I can't wait to return. Cheers to Kate and Rhys for their wonderful work!

Amazing transformation of this vineyard by new owners who have such enthusiasm for what they are creating....which is beautiful wine. Their sparkling is well rounded, can be enjoyed by every palate. It is a great celebration drink or just for an indulgence with good friends. Absolutely recommended a visit to this stand out winery in Margaret River, giving the established one's a run for their money.
