Dewy mornings and earlier sunsets gently ease our region into the cooler season, but highlights such as the Margaret River Pro keep the event scene hotter than ever.

April marks the beginning of Djeran, also called the Season of Adulthood by the traditional owners of Wadandi Boodja (Saltwater People’s Country). The surfing conditions are spot on, autumn leaves cover the region’s parks in golden hues and warming sunshine teases you to hit the outdoors – especially looking at the fantastic events offer this month.

Margaret River and world-class waves are basically synonyms, and the Margaret River Pro is the place to be blown away by the world’s most talented surf pros. Once again, this year’s event will be positioned as the mid-season decider – expect to see the world’s best surfers put everything on the line to advance to the second half of the world tour. Even better — spectating is free.

The Other Side of Me | 27 April

The two dancers in The Other Side of Me represent different sides of the same person, The British side, and the Indigenous Australian side. Follow the captivating story of a young Indigenous man who was adopted from the Northern Territory, and taken to England. His young life ended while in custody over there and he never got to return to his home – except for in his dreams.
