As Makuru melts into Djilba, the region becomes a crescendo of colour as wildflowers start to bloom, the whales make a splash in the ocean and a line-up of unmissable events keeps you on your toes.

August also marks the beginning of CinefestOZ Film Festival – the perfect pairing of film, fine wines and fabulous food. Get your live music fix at The River when indie legend Riley Pierce drops by, or experience a wonderful collaboration of rap and jazz with Noongar rapper Zero Emcee and the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Pedal Prix WA | 16-18 August

Busselton

Watch the Busselton Foreshore turn into a race track like no other. Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) is an exciting form of racing using vehicles powered only by the rider. The 6-hour race on Sunday is Round 5 of the UniSA Australian HPV Super Series, and is the Grand Finale of the Epiroc WA Pedal Prix Series, where the Western Australian Champion will be crowned.

The Cape to Cape MTB riding event is nothing short of epic; accessing stunning private trails, vineyard visits, brewery finishes and some of the warmest hospitality the region has to offer.
