An affinity with the natural world, an eye for detail and composition, paired with persistence to capture a beautiful scene just as the natural light transforms it from ordinary to spectacular. These are the attributes that make a photographer’s work exceptional.
Visitor’s to Phil’s Busselton gallery frequently comment on all of the above, and are moved by the way his photographs evoke memories of favourite destinations in a meaningful, and often emotional way. He hopes to inspire greater love and care for the natural world by showcasing its beauty. Focusing on landscapes from sparkling oceans, vibrant sunsets and sunrises, to lush green forests and farmlands, Phil successfully captures scenes that captivate people’s hearts. He particularly loves capturing familiar locations in moments of special light, mood and drama and transforming them into artworks that give the viewer the feeling of being there. So far his main area of focus has been Western Australia’s southern half, with the majority of images taken within the shires of Busselton, Margaret River and Augusta.
