Let’s go surfing days | Disabled Surfers Association
Description
Let’s go surfing!
In May 2008 the Disabled Surfers Association decided that a branch would be established in the Dunsborough / Margaret River region. The sole aim was to give people with varying levels of disability the opportunity to experience surfing in a safe, fun and dignified environment.
In order to do this, they use specific buoyancy aids and safety devices, specially designed amphibious wheelchairs and the manpower of many wonderful volunteers.
They hold four events at Bunker Bay each year – December (Saturday), January (Saturday), February (Sunday) & March (Saturday). They have a free sausage sizzle and they have options available for dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, etc.
