Description

Hailing from Broome, The Gray Brothers are bringing their saltwater-shaped blood harmonies, guitar mandolin interplay and raw storytelling to The River, joined by special guests The Primordial Notes.

The tour follows the release of their EP Live at Prospect Studios, recorded in Melbourne and captured live in single takes. Over the past year, the brothers have been gigging steadily across Western Australia and Victoria, alongside sold out shows at home in Broome and throughout the South West. With an anticipated appearance at Nannup Music Festival and a special support slot with Alex Lloyd on the horizon, the tour brings the brothers back through the South West with a growing body of songs and road-tested performances behind them.

Albert and Elwood Gray have been part of the Broome music scene for as long as they can remember. From knee-high kids busking at the Courthouse Markets to sharing stages with John Butler and Stephen Pigram at the Cable Beach Amphitheatre, they have spent years shaping a sound grounded in place, family and song. That sound has carried them from backyard jams to festival stages and rooms filled with attentive audiences, anchored by raw storytelling and unmistakable blood harmonies.

Joining them are The Primordial Notes, a young duo from Denmark who have become quietly well regarded across the South West. Blending elements of Gypsy, Ska and unconventional pop, their music is driven by soaring vocals, punchy guitar riffs and ethereal violin harmonies. Equal parts crafty and quirky, their songs and stage presence have a playful edge. The River show lands just ahead of their debut at this year’s Nannup Music Festival.
