Really beautiful place for lunch. My daughter and I started with a wine tasting, extremely generous no charge tasting and the wines were well placed high quality small winery league. Food in the restaurant was outstanding, the service impeccable and the atmosphere stunning with views over the dam. The gardens complement the whole Aravina experience. Definitely recommend the octopus, crab ravioli and the pork belly was the best I’ve ever eaten! The mulled wine was a nice warm touch too!

We stayed at the accommodation for 3 nights over the Easter weekend with our 8 year old Grandson. The pods blew us away with the stylish decor and all the mod cons. Electric curtains, tap light switches and a TV screen that descents from the roof. The beds are hard ( perfect for us) and so is the sofa ( that doubles up as a bed). We loved the large skylight above our sleeping area..what a great idea. The frustrating parts.... There is no outside table to eat or play cards. We experienced some rain and as there was no awning ( a large umbrella is provided) so we could not cook on the barbecue and the restaurant is not open at night. The bathroom needs an area to put make-up, aftershave and toiletries. Apparently tables and chairs have already been ordered.👏👏 The staff are incredible. The Irish managaress is delightful. Complimentary breakfast was lovely and the grounds are magnificent. There is a fantastic herb garden and our pod was located a 10 minute walk ( or 2 minute run for my grandson) from the winery. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning overlooking the beautiful vines and lake. Aravina is Spectacular.

It’s not often il write a mediocre review - but Aravina Estate with its all of its elegance and image it portrays fell way short and flat of the mark. My review is 2.5 stars ⭐️ not 3. Parking is average - the bays are narrow, most people traveling south have 4wd and even for normal sedans it’s a squeeze to get in bays. The gardens and view is really amazing and should be highlighted. The food was the big let down. I ordered the rump cap - slow cooked but the issue was the portion size and speed in which it was delivered. The size was not larger than an average entree and for $46 I expected a lot more. The rustic rosti grated pieces on top were well overcooked. Sweet potato puree was nice. Here’s my whole issue though - this dish was prepared and served not more than 3 mins after we placed our order. It was served before we even got our Glasses or soft drink we ordered.. this raised a red flag and you could taste that the cut of meat had been sitting in a hot bay for sometime before being served. This really frustrates me when places like this clearly prioritize profit over experience. Lucky I had a pizza my partner bought which then filled me up. The pizza was really nice. Surf museum was a great addition to look over with nice pieces. No cars though like in the magazines aswell so that was also disappointing on top of all the others. Nice for a look about but won’t rush back here again.
