Nestled in the Cowaramup Brook valley and the lee of the Leeuwin Ridge, Grace Farm is a small, family-owned vineyard that uses organic principles to produce premium hand-crafted wines.

Grace Farm has a special location within the Wilyabrup sub region of the Margaret River wine-growing district of Western Australia. This area is widely regarded as the golden triangle of the winegrowing region and with its proximity to the coast, enjoys a strong maritime influence with cooling sea breezes prolonging ripening periods and promoting elegant flavour profiles.

Grace Farm is bounded by Caves Road to the east, Cowaramup Bay Road to the north, the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park to the south and private bushland to the west. It is 12 kilometres from Margaret River and less than two kilometres from the Indian Ocean and the world-class surf breaks of Gracetown.

The Cowaramup Brook runs through the property, while other creeks and springs succour the enormous variety of vegetation, from jarrah and marri woodland to melaleuca, peppermint and karri groves. Bushland makes up half the property while the other half, previously used for cattle grazing, has been developed as a vineyard. In addition to the vines, organic vegetables and fruit trees are also cultivated.

Much of the bush is in pristine condition and has a high degree of biodiversity, with rare orchid and marsupial species among the many documented. Balancing care of the bushland with agricultural activity is at the forefront of Grace Farm’s management objectives.

Grace Farm is a young vineyard that is experiencing great success and winning awards on regional, national and international levels. The ideal conditions of the Wilyabrup sub-region undoubtedly contribute to the quality of the grapes. The quality of the fruit and the resulting wines can also be attributed to a fine combination of viticulture and winemaking.

Brand spanking new cellar door for Grace Farm. Friendly and great wines... the reds went from good to great (the Bordeaux type blend was our favourite). And apparently the Olives are special (says my other half). Well worth the stop by and taste! Can't wait to see how this winery develops on our next visit. Simon Gregory

If you are going to Margaret River I have 2 major recommendations; 1, Make a booking to this absolutely wonderful winery, 2, Enjoy the tasting We were greeted by John and Elizabeth Mair and what a wonderful couple we were given the story of the vineyard, the work that has been put into the place and tasting of the wine. The whites are really good, but there reds, or lordy, they are in a class of their own, it is not hard to see why the reds have won stacks of awards they are incredible. If there is only one thing you can do in Margaret river, go see these guys, just ensure you make a reservation. Peter Goulding
