Shelter sits at the foot of the famous Busselton Jetty, overlooking tinnies on the bay, foreshore picnics and kids competing for the biggest bombie. It’s the perfect place to wash away the salt of the day with a cold beer and a big feed. You’re safe from the Busselton seagulls here - the only person stealing your chips will be your mate!
Shelter Brewing Co. was created by locals for locals, long-weekenders, visitors from distant lands and really, anyone looking for a fresh, tasty beer and a good feed. They make great craft beer on-site at the venue on the foreshore, which is poured fresh-as-it-gets straight from serving tanks, or canned and sent to your local bottle-o.
It’s not all beer, they've got a south-west-inspired wine and spirits list and a menu that focuses on simple food made beautifully, with the freshest and best local ingredients. They love food made to share and food that leaves you satisfied. They take pizza seriously - their kitchen revolves around the bright yellow Marana Forni pizza oven they had imported from Italy.
They've got great function spaces that suit all events, from small get-togethers to big affairs. Their main function room has spectacular views over the brewery floor and the brewer’s deck offers a smaller space for more intimate affairs.

Went for a family lunch, staff were super friendly and the playground for the kids was great. I loved being able to order from the QR code on the table. The food was fantastic (Bratwurst, Pork Schnitzel, Mussels etc) and the dessert was a delight for the 3 year old and the adults too. Serving sizes are large so I would encourage sharing. The tasting paddle was a fun way to try a few different beers and that was super fun too! Thank you for a lovely afternoon. I also appreciate that it is pet friendly.

Great location on the foreshore near the jetty!
Very busy even on a Friday night.
We were awalk-inn but got a bench seat out on the front seating area outside.
Menu all looked delicious, but we opted for the mushroom Wood fire pizza. Hands down one of the best pizzas I have had in a very long time. We saw several other pizzas, and all looked and smelt amazing also.
The food coming out looked appealing.
Table service or app ordering. The venue is no cash, which was fien for me as I don't like to carry cash.
They do charge a 15% surcharge on public holidays I did read.
Would return for another slice of that heavenly pizza 🍕
Didn't even get a chance to photograph it before we tucked in!

Visited The Shelter Brewing Company in Busselton the other day and was impressed by the location of the facility and the lay out of the place.
It was a beautiful day so sitting out side in the sun shine with the family was a delight.
We had children playing in the park and the fantastic play ground facility next door
We ordered several terrific main courses for the kids and the adults had a variety of very good meals ranging from pizzas fish and chips pasta and beef burgers.
The kids also had pizzas fruit platters fish and chips etc
The drinks were reasonably priced and good quality products
A very relaxing way to spend the afternoon and taking in the sights a great location right on the ocean it worth a visit really
Well done Team

I had heard mixed reviews about Shelter Brewing Co, but my recent experience was far from disappointing.
We arrived late on a Wednesday night, having driven down from Perth in search of a place with good food after 9 pm, which proved to be quite a challenge. A local pub turned us away after we'd placed our orders, citing a closed kitchen. In a rush, we stumbled upon Shelter. Despite it being close to closing time, the waitress kindly informed us that it was last orders. We expressed our concern about not wanting to inconvenience the kitchen as they were likely getting ready to close, but they graciously accommodated us.
We opted for the pork knuckle and salt & pepper squid, accompanied by two beer paddles. The pork was a revelation – perfectly cooked, falling off the bone, and utterly irresistible. The salt & pepper squid was delightfully crispy and flavourful, with generous portions.
The beer paddle was a wise choice, allowing us to sample a variety of their craft beers. The standout was their stout, which, coming from a non-stout person, was a game-changer. It had a delightful coffee note that left me leaving with a 4-pack to enjoy later.
The staff were not only accommodating but also friendly and welcoming. One of the waiters even took the time to recommend some must-visit places in the South for our stay in Busselton.
I'm definitely planning a return visit, ideally on a busier night like Friday or Saturday to soak up more of the town's atmosphere. Busselton during the week tends to be quieter.
Big thanks to the wonderful staff for making our evening memorable!
