Watch this fast and colourful championship sailing event on the west side of the Busselton Jetty between 27 December 2025 and 5 January 2026. 

Hosted by Geographe Bay Yacht Club, the 53rd Australian Hobie Cat National Championships will bring international and Australian teams together to contest the around the buoys short course racing. Teams will compete in a series of up to 16 races for each division for the Australian titles.

Series One race days are 28 to 31 December for the Hobie 16 Open, Masters and Grand Masters divisions.

Series Two race days are 2 to 5 January for the Hobie 14 Open, Masters and Grand Masters divisions and the Hobie 16 will return for the Womens and Youth divisions. Series Two includes championships for the sporty Hobie Wildcat, Hobie Tiger and all other Hobie class race boats.

See the junior sailors testing the waters too on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 January as they participate in an escorted mini-championship regatta in the Hobie’s.
