Artist talk with Angelina Naglazas

calendar
Friday, 3rd May 2024 - 10:30am to 12:00pm

Description

Renowned Perth artist, Angelina Naglazas, invites art enthusiasts and the community at large to immerse themselves in a vibrant showcase of her Collective Works in the Bond Store, Old Courthouse Complex in Busselton.

From May 2nd to June 3rd, 2024, visitors will have the opportunity to experience Naglazas’ unique artistic journey through an eclectic display of paintings.

Naglazas, whose artistry is deeply rooted in her love for painting, presents a captivating blend of freshness, brightness, and spontaneity in her abstract creations. With a preference for acrylic paint, Naglazas’ canvases come to life through a dynamic interplay of colours and forms, each stroke imbued with a sense of freedom and creativity.

“I prefer to work with acrylic paint mainly and I usually work on several canvases simultaneously,” explains Naglazas. “Working with several canvases also extends my creative energy to enable me to have time to have a relationship with each of my ‘works in progress’ paintings as well as allowing me to explore and extend the dynamics of each individual piece.”

Drawing inspiration from her personal journey of loss, grief, and healing, Naglazas’ artwork encompasses a variety of styles, including mark making, blended colour fields, modern abstract landscapes, modern abstract seascapes, and organic colour formations.

At the Bond Store Exhibition, Naglazas presents a captivating array of artwork, featuring vibrant and joyful floral paintings alongside abstract landscapes that beautifully meld colour and form. Each piece invites viewers to explore the depths of Naglazas’ creativity and experience the transformative power of art.

Visitors to the exhibition can expect to be immersed in a world of colour, emotion, and artistic expression, as Naglazas invites them to embark on a journey of discovery through her collected works.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet Angelina Naglazas at the Bond Store Exhibition at Busselton Cultural Precinct on 3 May  for her artist’s talk. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
