To celebrate NAIDOC Week, you’re invited to this special event at Nala Bardip Mia -Margaret River HEART
Following a Welcome to Country will be the launch of the ‘Spirit of the Heart – Djanga Koornt’ – a song performed by Wadandi Matriarch Vivian Brockman Webb acommpanied by Mitchella Hutchins, Richard Nelson and other artists the Sacred World Music Choir.
There is also a free-screening of the uplifting coming-of-age movie ‘Sweet As’ (M). Set in remote Pilbara country, the film stars Shantae Barnes-Cowan as Murra, an Aboriginal Australian girl from a troubled family who discovers a passion for photography while participating in a youth retreat.
