Perth International Jazz Festival | Jazz in the garden – Emma Pask

calendar
Sunday, 12th November 2023 - 11:00am to 7:00pm

Description

The best of all worlds collides for Jazz in the Garden: beautiful surrounds, incredible food and wine, and performances from some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians.

For one afternoon only, you are invited to escape to Aravina Estate and set on 180 acres of expansive, rolling hills and vineyards. Here, kick back on your picnic blanket (or low chair) on the tiered, terraced lawn as you enjoy two memorable performances while sampling delicious local wines and beautifully prepared foods, all available on site.

First up you’ll hear some swinging standards from Perth’s own Jackson Van Ballegooyen Duo.

The afternoon’s headline act is award-winning Sydney-based vocalist Emma Pask, one of this country’s finest – and favourite – voices in jazz. A delightful double-punch performer, she combines a charming and honest stage presence with a powerful vocal ability, leaving you spellbound and inspired. Emma weaves her own storytelling through a selection of swinging jazz standards, upbeat Latin rhythms, tender ballads and, of course, some raucous blues. She will be joined by her sublime quartet with Grant Windsor on piano, Phil Stack on bass and Tim Firth on drums.

Why not treat yourself for the day and become a VIP?

VIP ticket holders will enjoy a West Winds Welcome cocktail on arrival and have reserved seating in the garden for Emma Pask.

Don’t miss this beautiful afternoon of music and indulgence in one of the Southwest’s most picturesque settings.
