Pride Flag Raising Ceremony and Breakfast

Join in for a special gathering in front of the Shire’s Administration Building as we raise the Pride flag to celebrate Pride WA’s PrideFEST this November!

The Shire’s Community Development team will be serving up complimentary breakfast on the lawn with hot bacon and egg rolls, fresh fruit and a self-serve granola station.

Soak up live music by local talent Ruby and Ruby and fashion your very own pride badges with the creative assistance of Freedom State.

This is an all-ages, inclusive, and accessible event. We invite friends, allies, and supporters to join us in fostering a vibrant and diverse community that welcomes everyone.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River, in collaboration with Margi Pride, Freedom State, Concrete Club and Q-Squad, is proud to be hosting an exciting line-up of free events for the whole community in Margaret River this November.

Coinciding with Pride WA’s annual PrideFEST celebration in Perth, we’ll be kicking off with a momentous Pride flag raising, rolling with pride at the roller disco, then shining with pride with performance makeup and jewellery making workshops, and more! Joining in the celebration to sprinkle their magic at select events will be professional Drag Queens The Pam Sandwich and Lola Blades.

The theme of PrideFEST 2023 is Be Brave, Be Strong, Be You!
