Boranup Gallery

Galleries & Artisans

Overview

We produce handcrafted designer furniture, made onsite from uniquely West Australian timbers. We have been designing & making furniture for 30 years, employing traditional methods with modern designs.

Visit our beautiful gallery south of Margaret River to see our incredible selection of Single Slab tables, exquisite sideboards and exclusive Waterfall & River designs of desks, tables & coffee tables.
Boranup Gallery is also home to a huge collection of art by local and Australian artists including Chris Spiker, Janey Emery , Alan Fox and Adam Stanley. Our artists work in a range of mediums – paint, glass, wood and metal, jewellery & ceramics. Set in the majestic Boranup karri forest, it is a must see when visiting Margaret River.

More information

On entering Boranup Gallery your senses will be filled with visual and tactile delights within the towering rammed earth walls. Everything on show is extraordinary in quality and craftsmanship, and our bespoke furniture features rare timbers from trees of old. We proudly support regional artisans, established and emerging, and our gallery has a significant collection of paintings, sculpture, blown and slumped glass, carvings, photography, prints & more.

Purpose built in 1989 by James and Anne Howieson, Boranup Gallery was originally designed to house James' heirloom furniture, crafted from Western Australian native hardwood timbers & burls, which is still crafted on site by James Howieson and his team.

Always a fantastic place to see the magnificently carved wood and other craft items. My only complaint is I will need to keep saving for all the items I like 😀

Love visiting this gallery every year. The artwork is varied, the jewellery, pottery items and furniture are carefully crafted and thoughtfully displayed.
