Margaret River Hideaway & Farm-stay is a 23.3 hectare (57.57 acre) property, located 5kms north-east of Margaret River township, in a delightful rural setting.

The cottages and studios are self-contained and have private enclosures for well-behaved dogs. A highlight of your stay will be the farm animal feeding offered every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday morning, an activity which is much loved by children and adults alike.

Margaret River Hideaway is a unique property which will suit honeymooners, couples, families and small groups.

The 2 Studios (which are under 1 roof) and 7 Cottages are spaced out to ensure privacy. All have fenced enclosures to accommodate dogs (rules apply). Each is fully self-contained with air-conditioning, flat-screen TV and a DVD player, full kitchens and all the items that you would expect in a home, thereby enabling you to self-cater. The Cottages also have 'potbelly' wood stoves.

A 'starter breakfast' is provided which consists of a small packet (per person) of Cornflakes or Just Right, milk, orange juice and bread; as well as sachets of coffee, tea, jam, Vegemite, salt, pepper and a few farm-fresh eggs (if the 'chooks' are laying). This should cover your needs on the first morning, beyond which you’re expected to attend to your own food requirements.

Coin-operated laundry facilities are available. limited free Wi-Fi is connected to all cottages (for up to 2 devices) which should be adequate for e-mails, web browsing and moderate streaming.

Activities on the Property

Guests normally stroll, enjoying the ambience, or relax in and outside their accommodation. BBQs are set up on verandahs, so it’s easy enough to enjoy the Aussie outdoor lifestyle.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8.30 am guests can participate in a 1-hour animal feeding tour of the farm (subject to weather conditions). Animals on the farm include emus, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese, sheep and alpaca; and several long-haired Scottish Highland cattle. The children will be encouraged to interact with the farm's animals.

The Hideaway is within easy driving distance of all major features of the region and it's an easy 5-minute drive to Margaret River town, where you will find numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.

We recently stayed at hideaway farm stay for 2 nights and had the most amazing stay, I can not fault the place accommodation was spotless and had a fenced area for dogs which made taking our dog on holiday with us so much easier. Plenty and play equipment for kids. My 7 year old had the time of his life with the animals. Kim who did the animal feeds was so lovely and accommodating. We will definitely be returning as I had to promise my child we will return for him to get in the car to leave . Thank you again Lucy wright

Perfect family getaway, and dog friendly too 😊 My little one had the best time! Feeding all the animals as well as playing in all the parks. Such a relaxing break, and so close to Margaret River town too. Already planning our next trip for next year 😁 Very friendly staff, highly recommended staying here! Thank you so much! Claire Swain

Margaret River farm stay is a wonderful place for the family to enjoy farm life. Units are clean and modern love the woodfire. Kids loved animal feeding and all the little playgrounds scattered thru farm. They loved an evening around the firepit making damper and toasting marshmallows. Kim and her staff aree great with the kids and adults alike and know the area well. We loved our stay, hope to return one day. wendy muir
