South by South West

South by South West is a small-batch artisan winemaker based in Margaret River, Western Australia. Formed in 2016 and run by Liv Maiorana (winemaker) and Mijan Patterson, South by South West produce traditional wines with an expressive and contemporary edge. True to vintage, true to region. 

 

Liv crafts terroir and vintage driven wines that combine respect for the land, the methods the grapes are farmed by, and how they are handled in the winery.

 

Mij’s attention lies in the vineyard side of the operation by managing their naturally farmed vineyard in the Wallcliffe subregion, as well as working with a team of loyal growers in the south west to source additional fruit. Liv’s focus is on the winemaking side which is motivated by making expressive wines that are true to vineyard, true to vintage, and tasty.
