Little House Republic offers a unique and sustainable off-grid experience that will nourish your soul. Their luxury retreats are nestled in the serene Scott River peppermint trees on 750 hectares of private property, providing the perfect getaway for those seeking to connect with nature in style.

Little House Republic's architecturally designed 'little houses' exemplify sustainable tourism, displaying how you can make a lighter impact while travelling. Powered by solar energy and rainwater, each property is thoughtfully designed to immerse you in nature from the moment you arrive.

Accessed via private driveways on unspoiled active pastoral land that has seen only family for over 130 years,  you will feel like you are worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Vern’s Ridge is nestled above an historic, abandoned farmhouse and thoughtfully designed with all the creature comforts you could want. Large picture windows connect you to the outside throughout the property creating the sensation of sleeping and living in the trees. Snuggled on the bed, sundowners on the deck or wrapped in a blanket toasting marshmallows around the outside firepit, you have front row seats to nature's show.

The Slip Rails is lodged in the middle of two hillocks surrounded by peppermint trees and undulating hills and valleys. The romance of the Australian stock routes is imprinted into this site, where generations of stockmen boiled the billy before droving the cattle through the slip rail fence on their way home to Nannup after a long summer of grazing. Imagine yourself cosied up on the window seat, lost in a good book while the indoor wood fire crackles and the distant wild Southern Ocean roars in the background.

Both properties are furnished with design-led, sustainable amenities and fixtures, such as natural linen bedding, recycled wool blankets, and an Ocean Cycle-certified Ecosa mattress made from recycled plastic bottles collected from the ocean.

Whether it's a hike to the private beach, exploring nearby national parks and wineries, or simply relaxing with a good book, you are invited to experience sustainable luxury in the heart of nature.

Little House Republic has a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and local communities. As part of this, they aim to encourage responsible travel among their guests by providing them with a travel calculator. This tool allows guests to measure the carbon footprint of their journey to Little House Republic and purchase offsets to support Western Australian landscape restoration and conservation projects.  To achieve this goal, Little House Republic has partnered with Carbon Positive Australia. Great little getaway about 3.5 hours away from Perth. We stayed two nights. Augusta is around the corner and there's plenty to do in the surrounding area if you enjoy being in nature. Thanks for having us Keryn and Al! I would suggest taking a sleeping mask if you would like a sleep in as there are no window coverings in the kitchen. Reception is a bit spotty, so not guaranteed. We didn't know how to turn on the fan at night, but that was quickly resolved when we managed to contact Keryn once we did get some reception. Hot water failed on the last night, but I guess things happen! We hiked to the beach from the accommodation as well, would thoroughly recommend...but bring plenty of water in case you do get a little lost like us 😅 The house was stocked with games, cooking utensils and mozzie coils...not sure if we needed much more! Also made use of the hammock, and viewing platform for a bit of yoga...and managed to see some roos in the early morning 😊

The most amazing getaway of a life time. Could not have asked for a more secluded more peaceful place to get away from the city life and enjoy nature. Keryn was amazing at making sure we had everything we needed and allowed us the opportunity to enjoy the nature and beauty of the farm. We cannot thank you enough. Definitely take the time to explore the surrounding places that the region has to offer.

what a beautiful stay! it was so beyond perfect for a couple get away. being surrounded by nature and best of all the cutest cows i have ever seen. it was so lovely sitting outside playing board games and getting away from the city life. the house is equipped with quite literally everything you’d need ☺️ it’s super off-grid it was an adventure in itself getting there, but we brought our 4w4 and really enjoyed the drive - we also went down to the secluded beach for a look and it was absolutely stunning we even saw whales from the top of the track!! this is your sign to get away amongst nature - because there’s no better way. Keryn, thankyou so much for being so accommodating and helpful - we will be back very soon we are still in awe of how incredible the place was.

This is a stay for your soul. So quiet, peaceful, and you feel like the last people on earth out here. The team has curated a beautiful space, free of devices and distractions, with everything thought of with as little impact on the environment as possible. We roamed some of the property, walked about 4km down to our own private beach (not a beach you would swim/surf at because it is just so remote, but beautiful to just look at) on a walk that was well signed. Bring your own groceries/food for the duration of your stay as the property is quite a drive (40 mins or so) from any convenience stores etc and you want to spend as much time there as possible. We stayed for two nights as the trip was a birthday gift. Kate was incredible in accommodating us, arranging the birthday voucher from my friends, and clearly has put a lot of heart, thought, and love into this amazing project/eco-stay. There is very little to do out here (which is what we wanted) unless you are prepared to drive to other parts of the region and then there is plenty to explore (again, about 40mins - 1 hour away). We stayed here at the end of a road trip so we were very content to do not much for two days and just read, play cards, walk, and sleep. I had the best sleeps ever - you will not want to leave. There is limited reception too, so if you want to watch movies on your devices, download them beforehand. But I recommend you take the opportunity to disconnect, enjoy nature, and whatever company you may have, be that another person, the birds, or the kangaroos hopping around! Thanks again to Kate & the team for the great stay and excellent customer service from beginning to end.
